How do we even begin to address the challenge of Big Tech? People say "start small", and that's all very well, but swapping big for small often feels like a step down. Our advice is slightly different...

Taking control of our Digital Sovereignty isn't simply about swapping US big tech for UK big tech. There's an opportunity not only to take control, but also to make things better, and make better things.

We can take the opportunity to find better ways to do things. Avoiding social harms; better environmental protections; interfaces that speak our dialects and languages. We can strive to do things well, for the benefit of society and even, perhaps, resist the urge to add features nobody wants.
