Do-it-yourself (DIY) services and self-hosting
Although not always necessarily UK sourced, there are many options for UK organisations to manage and self-host their own services. We’ve recently added this ‘DIY’ section to help highlight what is available to self-manage / self-host.
There are some caveats though. Any software we list must respect our principles. So, this isn’t going to work for us if the software requires you to host your service / data in a non-UK location, or if it has some kind of licence / subscription requirement that can stop the software remotely, that isn’t governed by UK law.
